All three-size POD body surfing hand boards are laminated by combining walnut for the centre and cedar for the sides.

The walnut centre acts like a surfboard stringer,  providing strength, while the lighter-weight cedar forms the wings of the bodysurfing plane.

WOO POD Handboard convex deck and palm support perfectly fits in the palm of your hand natural swimming position, providing extra 30 cm x 21 cm planning surface area and lifting force.

Cedar and Walnut contrasting colours, natural wood grain variations, timber density and shapes make each handboard one-of-a-kind.

Ergonomic Hand Support

For the first time, Shane has incorporated an ergonomic palm hold above the handboard deck surface, enhancing hand position and comfort.

The palm support alleviates stress on the arm muscles, particularly common on flat deck surfaces, and importantly, it secures your hand in place, preventing it from slipping out from under the snug fitted double-padded neoprene strap.

New 50mm Handboard Strap Retainers

Purposely custom-built 50mm/2inch retainer insert plugs with a stainless steel rod to suit a 65mm padded webbing strap and wrist cord, unlike other bodysurfing handplanes that use a smaller 25 mm/1 inch surfboard plug.

No Discomfort Over The Hand

The assembled POD 65mm wide Hand Strap provides comfort over the hand, compared to a thinner handboard strap, causing skin and hand irritation.
