    Intelligent design

It's a lightweight marvel, a well designed rashguard with sneaky labeling (it would have taken careful lighting to get the words and logo to show up so well) and important extras: the neatly sewn 2 cm rubber strip around the waist with a slightly more robust than usual boardshort connector. Plus the thin board-gripping pad material on the forearms. On the inside, it feels the same as the regular fabric, and the pad is flexible. Useful.

    A sturdy rarity

Rashguards have mostly become fairly standard, the main issue being whether they have an anchor loop to help keep the rashie down/shorts up. The POD's fabric is somewhat heavier than some (perhaps a white version for hot weather might be nice). Plenty stretchy. The rubber waist strip is something I've seen only on a few Hurley rash guards. It's useful. The elbow to wrist pad looks and feels, on the outside, like the knee pads of a quality surfing wet suit. It's definitely backed by thin, soft neoprene. I'm not aware of anything quite like it on the market. I'm anticipating a bit of improvement in board control and comfort.
