Our POD handboard shapes are a testament to the unparalleled artistry and craftsmanship that goes into each piece. Crafted from 225 mm/9 inch solid Cedar and  Walnut, these handboards are genuinely one-of-a-kind, unlike any other in the bodysurfing world.

Our Little EGO POD Handboard perfectly fits in the palm of your hand and, in some cases, just past your figure tips, providing a 22 cm x 20 cm hydrodynamic planning surface area.

EGO was intended for single use and purposely designed for bodysurfing with one on either hand. However, The Duo POD Handboards set increases lifting force and balance and doubles your swimming stroke. The tiny Ego is sure to boost any bodysurfer's self-confidence.

Purpose of Cedar Walnut Construction

These POD hand planes come in three sizes. They are combining walnut for the centre and cedar for the sides. The walnut centre acts like a surfboard stringer, providing strength, while the lighter-weight cedar forms the wings of the hand plane.

Ergonomic Hand Support

Also, POD  ware has designed an ergonomic palm hold above the handboard deck surface for the first time, improving hand position and comfort.

The palm support relieves arm muscles from stress. It ensures your hand stays in place, preventing slipping from under the double-padded neoprene strap. This level of comfort and security is unmatched in the bodysurfing world.

New 50mm Handboard Strap Retainers

Purposely custom-built retainer insert plugs with a stainless steel rod to suit the assembled 50mm/2inch webbing strap and wrist cord, unlike other bodysurfing handplanes that use a smaller 25 mm/1 inch surfboard plug.

No Discomfort Over The Hand

The POD 65mm wide neoprene padded hand strap provides snug comfort over the hand, unlike other bodysurfing handplanes with thinner handboard straps, causing hand and skin irritation.

Advice

*Note: We highly recommend adjusting the hand strap snugly once over your hand. With further use, slide your hand between the strap and the deck palm support. This advice will ensure the Velcro remains attached and lasts for many years.
