Comfort

The fin should fit snugly without squeezing your foot or toes. If it is too tight, you'll get cramps.

The opening of the foot pocket and fin strap should be nice and snug. If either is loose, it will likely slip off in the surf.

However, if you are less than a few millimetres around the foot pocket opening, you can wear POD 3mm Neoprene Fin Socks for snug fit and a further comfort.

If it is snug around the foot pocket but the fin strap is still loose, you can use POD Neoprene Heel Protects and Fin Savers for a better fit, heel protection, and fin safety.

Performance

Asymmetric fins have a diagonal blade design. The PF3 POD swim fin's asymmetric blade edge has been designed with the blade curvature more towards the centre to feel similar to an asymmetric blade, with the extra advantage of extra trust and wave-holding ability.

Shorter blades allow a quicker start but require more kicks to cover the same distance as longer fins. On the other hand, longer blade fins can place additional strain on your feet, ankles, and knees.

POD Fins 1 - PF1's

The streamlined, sleek design of our POD Fins 1 – PF1s makes them ideal for entry-level bodying bodysurfing. They are also excellent for knee-boarding and drop-knee bodyboarding, ocean swimming or use as training swim fins.

These are an advanced, boost-performance, comfort-enhancing model of surfing fins/flippers compared to the PF1s. They are far more robust, making them superior for any water sports activity, including ocean photography.

The precise engineering and streamlined Siccut® design, combined with the unique Splay Rails® and symmetric Chisel Blade®, provide excellent balance and a more powerful kick with directed thrust, speed, and control. They are lightweight, with deep channels and vertical rails that produce more excellent wave-holding stability.

The extended pocket accommodates versatile fittings, and the drainage design ensures rapid water and sand release. Tread Rails® run along the outside of the foot pocket, providing extra strength and durability.
